A few things that make us different

There are over sixty Christian student orgs at the University of Texas. So what makes us different? Well…

WE TAKE THE BIBLE SERIOUSLY, NOT LITERALLY

The Bible is a beautiful library of stories, songs, poems, laws, letters, wisdom, and truth. Taking into account the historical context and genre helps us to understand it better.

WE VALUE DIVERSITY + DIALOGUE

Interfaith dialogue and open-ended discussions help us find common ground and learn more about ourselves. Growth comes from talking to people who are different from us.

WE ARE A SAFE SPACE TO BE LGBTQ + CHRISTIAN

We aren’t going to try to change you or shame you, because we believe that God creates us and loves us in all our diversity.

WE EMPHASIZE PEACE + JUSTICE, NOT DOGMA

Diversity includes diversity of belief, so we don’t expect all our members to adhere to any certain creed. Instead, we find common ground in working toward peace and justice and value interfaith dialogue.
